# Getting Started Here's a quick getting started guide just to get you on your feet and explain how to get the best experience you can. Before starting, note that the following guide should help you. {% embed url="" %} ### 1. Inviting the bot on your server Click [here](https://green-bot.app/invite) to invite Green-bot on your server. You will be redirected to a discord page. First click accept and then Authorize. By default, Green-bot is asking Administrator permissions. Select the command you want to use and press enter! #### Isn't it another way? Yes, you can use prefix commands by sending \* + the name of your command Ex: `*play` {% hint style="info" %} `To get the command list, you can do the help command` {% endhint %} # Playing your first song We've tried to make things simple to use whilst also giving you control of what happens in your voice channel. To get started with playing music you must first join the voice channel of your choice. You can search for a specific song using the `/search` command.\ If you use the `/play` command, the bot will choose the first song. Once you've made your search, Green-bot will search your song and add it to the queue. If Green-bot give any results, or not the results you were looking for, then please give in a more specific search term or the direct link to the song instead. *Green-Bot search finds only songs, if you want to play a video you have to prodvide the link* ![Playing Music](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/863342883946627073/1010848984258052136/playsong.gif) ### Youtube video You can also check this amazing video wich shows you how to play a song with the bot. {% embed url="" %} # Configuration You will see there all the articles to learn how to setup Green-bot. # Setting a default track announcement channel You can set a default channel where Green-bot will send the track announcement messages If no channel is set, it will use the channel where you made the command that made the bot joining your channel, do /leave and the play command again in another channel to change it. #### Setting a channel To set a channel, just do the following command replacing `{prefix}` by your prefix and `#channel` by your channel `/textchannel #channel` #### Disable the plugin `/textchannel reset` # Setup the DJ role You can restrict some commands to only some users that have a specific role. By default to manage a queue an user needs the Manage Messages discord permission. You can remove this by setting as a dj role a role that this user has or giving him the permissions #### Setup a dj role The command is: `/setdj @role` You can custom which commands can DJs use via the `/djcommands` command #### Transfering the DJ of a queue The DJ of a queue is the user that made the command that made the bot joining the voice channel. He bypasses all checks for DJs commands You can transfer a queue DJ with `/givedj @user` # 24/7 playback If you want your green-bot to stay on your voice channel even when no songs are being played, you can enable this 24/7 mode. You can enable it by using the 24/7 command: `/247` You can use this same command to enable or disable the 24/7 mode # Vote Skip system The vote skip system consists in making users vote when there are 2 or more people in the voice room. The vote skip system is enabled by default but you can disable it using `/voteskip` # Restrict the bot to only some voice channels If you want to make Green-bot working only in some voice channels, you can use the `/setvc` command. The bot will only work in the voice channels you'll set. if no channels are set it will work in all channels #### Add a voice channel to the list To add a voice channel to this list, run the following command: `/setvc` Then provide any channel and the bot will be able to play in this channel The channel is now in the list of the allowed voice channels! You can check with the `/settings` command #### Disable the restriction Just do: `/setvc voice-channel` again and the channel will be removed from the list # Restrict the bot to only some text channels If you want to make Green-bot working only in some text channels, you can use the `/textchannels` command. The bot will only work in the text channels you'll set #### Add a text channel to the list To add a text channel to this list, run the following command: `/textchannels` The channel is now in the list of the allowed text channels! You can check with the `/settings` command #### Disable the restriction Just do: `/textchannels` and select the same channel again to remove a channel from to the list # Automatically shuffle playlists You can shuffle automatically the spotify/youtube playlist with the Auto-Shuffle plugin #### Enable the plugin. Run `/autoshuffle` #### Disable the plugin. Run `/autoshuffle` # Auto Enable Autoplay You can automatically enable the autoplay for every single new queue with the Auto-Autoplay plugin #### Enable the plugin. Run `/autoautoplay` #### Disable the plugin. Execute the command again # Disabling buttons on now playing message You can hide the message on the now playing messages. Join our support server and ask a moderator to do that for you! # Other For any other issue, please join our Support Server: # Playlists # Saving a queue to a playlist To use this command simply type: `/queue` and click: Save Queue This will make a playlist and save your current queue to the playlist. # Create a playlist To create a playlist, type the command: `/pl-create ` This will make a playlist on your account which can be played on any server. # Adding songs to a playlist You can add songs to the playlist you created by typing the command: `/pl-add ` After typing the above command the bot should say `Successfully added x track(s) to ` You can add as many songs as you like or even add a spotify playlist to your own playlist on Green-bot # Play a playlist To play your own playlist type the command: `/pl-play ` It's possible to delete every playlist by doing `/pl-delete all` Make sure to type the playlist name correctly otherwise the bot will say `You don't have any playlist called that` # Edit a playlist You can change a playlists name after typing the command: `/pl-list` then click: Edit a playlist Then type the playlists order number (1 to 10) from the list And finnaly type the New Name you want to give the playlist # View your playlists You can see all your playlists by typing the command: `/pl-list` This will show all the playlists you have made so far (maximum 10) (Shows the playlist name and the number of tracks the playlist has) # Features # Changing Volume You can controll Green-bot's volume in the voice channel using the volume command \ To set the volume to a specific number just do `/volume number`\ You can specify a number between 1 and 200. Low values are not recomended If you want to increase the volume use `/volume up`, to decrease it use `/volume down` You see the current volume by using just `/volume` # Loop Mode **Queue Loop** You can loop the current queue undefinitely using the loop queue mode Just use the loopqueue command like that: `/loop queue` **Song Loop** You can loop the current song undefinitely using the loop song mode Just use the loopsong command like that: `/loop song` **Disable the Loop Mode** You can disable the loop mode using the `*loop off` command
